We are about to step into the world of D-STAR with an ICOM 91-AD and a 2820H.  Would someone please outline the steps to take?  It sounds like some software needs to be installed on the PC.  Are there several versions?  We will be using DV for emergency communications.  Can we use any windows based spread sheets under DV or do we need to progress onto DD?

PS - what is a "dongle" -- are you referring to the UT-121 and UT-123 circuit boards?
