I didn't think I was a bone head but...
« on: March 27, 2009, 11:56:45 AM »
Newbie to D-star here.

I have an IC-92AD. Trying to connect to KI6JUL C in San Jose.

http://www.ki6jul.com/Home.html

UR: CQCQCQ
R1: KI6JUL<space>C
R2: NOT USE (this is the display when left blank in the setting)
my: K1DOD

Shift set to + .400MHz

Any suggestions on what I could be missing? Thanks,

jonathan

Should have the shift set to - .400MHz

Well that was a separate bonehead move. I did have it set to - just typed the wrong character in my post. :)

There are no PL tones for these, correct?

Correct, there are no PL tones.  You make the comment "connect to".  Do you mean you are not being repeated?  Or, do you mean that you are not accessing the gateway (to talk to a reflector or DVDongle user)?  If the latter, set RPT2 to KI6JUL G.  Leave the other settings as-is.
