ID 800H Power Button

For some inexplained reason my 800H power button popped out while I wasnt in the van overnight.
The button and spring is totally missing. I am thinking perhaps it got a little warm in the southen california sun which caused the button/spring/switch to expand and then "POP" out of the radio.
Anyone else ever have a problem like that?
I could send the control head into warranty, but the burron was about $2.18 and the spring was $1.13. Hopefully it will be easy to snap then in.
Anyone else ever have a problem such as this?
Customer/repair support never heard of that at all.
