DV Dongle & Remote Computer?

One of the reps at Dayton tolld me the DV Dongle could be used via a remote computer.

I see when I open the software there is a box to check for remote host and port, but I cna't find any documentation on this.

Anyone use it or can you point me to some documentation?

I am interested in this too.  For example could I have the DV Dongle connected
to my home computer access it from work and run the DVtools program?
