Good afternoon group members,

 Hows it going. My name's Ben. I just joined the group I am thinking going head first into D-Star. I have thought also about sponsoring a D-Star In Monticello which its about 45min. from me. The antenna for the repeater would be about 180' up.

Anyways, I am still trying to find info D-Star and found a good video on you tube about D-Star.

Heres my go kit idea. Its more of an equipment list but from what I am told its a great start! the stars mean I have that radio already

FT-897 - HF
FT-100 - Red Cross (If needed)***
FT-7800R - Analog APRS,  Spare radios***
ID-880 - Analog/Digital, VHF, other uses Huh
ID-880 - Analog/Digital, UHF, pther uses Huh
IC-2820H - Analog/Digital, Crossband, other uses Huh
VX-8R (6) - Spares
IC-92AD (6) - Spares

I guess the obvious question is, why do you need so many radios?  That looks to be at least 10 grand worth of gear....
