I have a DVDongle running on my HP laptop with windows 7 as my operating system. I am running my laptop through a broadband router.  I am using the NON-Java dvtools software.  I have a USB logitech headset.

The problem I have is the PTT is grayed out.  I can connect to reflectors and other stations, I can hear qso's but I can't transmit.

The local d-star admin assures me that I am set up correctly as far as registration so I should be able to transmit.

Does anyone have any tips or suggestions to resolve this issue??

Thanks

The best bet is to post on the DVDongle support group which I see you already have.  Robin supports his product directly through that group.  Windows 7 should work just fine.  The button will be grayed out if you connect to * as the repeater (you must connect to a specific repeater or reflector module to transmit.

With regards to your registration, you must register yourself -and- a station.  This is a two-step process.  Register with the gateway (sysadmin approves you) and then log in and register a station.  Your DVDongle must use the callsign/ID that you registered as a station.

Hope this helps.
