I bought a used 92AD with a OPC-1797 mic adapter on EBAY.    Radio is in new condition.

I got RT systems programming software and interface.  It requires the 1797 adapter.  I assumed (ass u me) that I could pass data with the same cable as programming.

Set up D-Rats, and tried to use it.   No transmit on radio.  Called RT Systems, and was told the USB cable they sold was only 2 wire.

Have found information on how make your own 1799 interface, but that is flimsy way of doing things at the radio.

Since I have the 1797, I searched high and low on the net for connector information on how the plugs are wired.  I saw something that warned not to use a mono 2.5 mm plug as you could blow up  the radio.  Other than that, nothing.

Has anyone made a db9 to 2.5/3.5 mm plug interface to use the 1797 mic adapter?
