Reflector Directory
« on: May 04, 2010, 09:00:17 PM »
Hello, I'm fairly new to D-star. I'm trying to locate a directory
for reflectors, and where they connect. Also what are the settings
for unlinking from a reflector? I have no problem opening one, but it won't close after I open it ? I can successfully link and unlink repeaters, just not reflectors.

Hi There,

If you go here: http://www.dstarusers.org/repeaters.php

You should be able to select "All Entries" from the drop down.  Anything that starts with REF is a reflector on the D-Star network.

Unlink is a little different than the other commands.  To accomplish an unlink, simply put a "U" in the 8th position of URCALL with nothing else.

There is now a reflector tab on the main menu at dstarinfo.com that lists all the reflectors and their functions.

I just dropped in a small code release that gives you the ability to show all reflectors from the dropdown in the repeater directory.  It's not *that* meaningful yet, but they are in the system to show up on last heard now as well as easier to search.

I'll be dropping in another minor release in July to address the "meaningful" part.  Right now I have another Red Hat exam coming up in a few weeks I need to be ready for.
