As I have the ability to obtain translations of various parts of the spec (have already obtained a major portion of the wireline side of the protocol) and have developed DStarMonitor and created the D-PRS specification, I will volunteer my services. I also have multiple contacts at the JARL to help receive clarification of different aspects of the protocol.
I am not as concerned with implementation variances as I am concerned with adherence to the letter of the protocol specification. I am concerned with implementation variances that break the protocol to fit someone's belief that "they know better". This "belief" by multiple authors was what caused AX.25 to become unusable to the general ham population except in very niche applications. I don't want to see that happen to D-STAR.
