Gateway registration question
« on: November 15, 2008, 12:48:03 PM »
I am registered on the D-Star gateway as I can see my call sign on the list. My question is how can I tell where i'm registered. I would like to be registered with my local repeater (KD2STR) but he can't do it because it says my call is already registered with another repeater. Does anyone know how to unregister so I can make this happen ???
Thanks in advance for any help

Hello:

You are currently registered on two Gateways. Please see below:

You should contact the Sysop of the one you want to delete.

[KC2PML  ] [W5NGU   ] [10.59.124.16]
[KC2PML  ] [KD2STR  ] [10.239.25.200]

What's the secret formula to determine if one is registered and where? I registered, but never received a confirmation email.

I think I have the same problem as I can see my self on a reflector but can not transmit.  It stopped working this week.

Hello:

The current D-Star System does not send an email to the person registering unless the Sysop does it. The Sysop can do this as he approves the registration, but my best guess is most do not.

If you can login, to do part TWO of the registration process, it means you have been approved by the Sysop.

There is a mail script that can be run on the Gateway that sends a email to the Sysop when someone registers. This script goes out immediately to the Sysop, so approval can be quick. As we know, part TWO must be done before one can use the Gateway System.
