Just wondering what I would use for a IC-91AD and a mobile 2820? I run APRS also and don't want to cause a conflict.... any ideas?

Register unique IDs for each station with the gateway.  A 2820 running APRS on one side and D-STAR on the other is actually 2 stations from a digital standpoint.  Be sure to use http://www.aprs-is.net/dprs.aspx as your reference for setting up your D-STAR radios.

The D-STAR callsign/SSID of KI4KWR M will be converted by D-PRS to KI4KWR-M for GPS position reports (Icom does this automatically with GPS-A mode; D-PRS translators do this for standard GPS mode).

Hope this helps.

Hi Pete.

I'm also testing with the D-PRS Calculator (GPS mode), but when I put '-9' I dont accede to the APRS network. In 'MyCall 8 Char Max Right Space Padded' I key a space between 'D' and '9', but when I send the beacons the network does not receive it. Nevertheless without '-9' worked perfectly.  Huh

How to put the '-9' so that understands it to the system?

Thank you!

Is EA5KGD 9 what is programmed in MYCALL in the radio?  The MyCall is what is programmed into the radio, not what you make up.  MYCALL and the GPS(C1) Message are programmed into the radio.

Hope this helps.

No, I thought that putting it only in the 'C1 Message' already would work.

Upsss!!!  Roll Eyes

This was simpler than it seemed.

Many Thanks for your concern.  Wink
