For sale is a slightly used, almost like new condition, Icom IC80AD VHF and UHF Dstar radio. I bought this radio for use on a local Dstar system, but had trouble with programming (using the radios key pad) the RPT 2 field, the radio would not except the gateway information for the RPT 2 field and would sound an error tone. I can receive just fine on the Dstar system and even talk to local Dstar stations, but can't talk to anyone on the Gateway due to the RPT 2 field. Calling Icom numerous times, the only help I could get is that they recommended programming the radio with software (free to download but you need to buy the programming cable) and that nothing was wrong with the radio.
Since that time, I've lost interest in talking on Dstar and I'm more interested in getting my General class, so that coupled with being tight on money means that my loss is your gain.
I was able to talk to a local station on the local Dstar system and the radio worked and sounded great. Talking on the local, analog 2 meter repeaters, the radio works great and really get's into the repeaters, even on low power. Radio is in almost like new condition.
Radio comes with factory antenna, battery, belt clip, charger, box, user manual, warrenty card that has not been filled out. I'm asking $275.00 USD for the radio and I'll pay the shipping costs. I accept payment through Paypal. Thanks
