Usualy REF047 does not connect to Japanese D-STAR repeaters,
because they are running with G1 gateway system except JP1YJQ and a few
which are the G2+ DPlus gateway systems in Japan.
However many Japanese stations access to REF047 with DV Dongle,
DVAP Dongle or node adapter especially port A as the [A]ctive layer in English.
Port C is used by the [C]omunity of Japanese Language.
